Doni Walker
candidate for re-election for the office of
Central Region Undergraduate Chapter Coordinator
Sigma Business. | Sisterly Bond. | Signature Brand.

I am honored to present myself as a candidate for re-election to the office of Central Region Undergraduate Chapter Coordinator for Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. My journey as a transformational servant leader, grounded in regional and international board service and strengthened by my professional experience, has uniquely prepared me for this pivotal role.
Over the past two years serving as your Undergraduate Chapter Coordinator, I have not only fulfilled every responsibility outlined in our bylaws, but I have also delivered on the goals I set when I first sought this position. Together, we have strengthened infrastructure, expanded opportunity, and elevated the undergraduate experience across the Central Region.
Rebuilding and Expanding Undergraduate Leadership
One of my proudest accomplishments has been the successful re-establishment and expansion of the Collegiate Ambassadors Program, which had been dormant for four years. Under my leadership, the 2024–2025 Theta Class emerged as a dynamic cohort of undergraduate leaders representing 8 of our 13 states. The current Iota Class continues this momentum, proudly representing 10 states across the region. Both cohorts have benefited from intentional, structured development through monthly enrichment sessions, leadership presentations at regional conferences and area meetings, community service initiatives, event planning, and meaningful mentorship. These ambassadors are not only leaders today, they are the future of our Sorority. It has been an honor to be a part of their journey.
Strengthening Advisor Support and Collaboration
I have had the privilege of engaging with and supporting more than 75 dedicated Advisors across the Central Region. Through countless one-on-one conversations, I listened deeply to their challenges, celebrated their successes, and identified common needs. In response, I launched the Advisor Academy to provide targeted support and resources. Our bi-monthly Advisor Chat 22 meetings continue to foster open communication, collaboration, and shared problem-solving ensuring our advisors feel supported, informed, and empowered as they guide our undergraduates.
Building Community and Investing in Excellence
My commitment to undergraduate engagement has remained unwavering. I have built community by hosting quarterly Collegiate Connection meetings, visiting campuses, presenting at undergraduate retreats, facilitating virtual conflict resolution, and maintaining consistent communication through a quarterly newsletter that highlights scholarships, awards, and other opportunities.
Most notably, I strategically leveraged the Undergraduate Development Fund to directly support our undergraduate chapters by:
- Awarding more than $7,000 in grants, awards, and competition prizes
- Providing discounted regional conference registration to ensure chapter representation
- Publicly recognizing collegiate scholars and rewarding them with complimentary undergraduate retreat registration
- Awarding scholarships to attend AFLV
- Funding reactivated and newly chartered undergraduate chapters
- Donating more than 30 chapter branding kits to undergraduate chapters
- Sustaining and expanding the Collegiate Ambassadors Program
National Engagement and Innovative Leadership
Through attendance at national conferences such as the Association of Fraternity and Sorority Advisors (AFA), NPHC Annual Leadership Conference, and the Association of Fraternal Leadership and Values (AFLV), I have cultivated meaningful relationships with campus partners and fellow Divine Nine leaders.
At AFA 2024, I was honored to be inducted as an honorary member of Order of Omega. This experience inspired me to spearhead the first-ever Order of Omega Case Study Competition in Sigma Gamma Rho history during the 85th Central Region Conference. Plans are already underway to expand this initiative to the 2026 Boule in Tampa!
Continued Focus on Sigma Business, Sisterly Bond, and Signature Brand
This website offers a comprehensive view of my continued commitment to serving the Captivating Central Region. My 7-Point Vision highlights the most pressing issues facing our undergraduates today, while my campaign platform outlines a clear, strategic plan for addressing each one with intention and accountability.
For nearly six years, I have dedicated myself to the service of the Central Region, developing a deep understanding of its members, its challenges, and its immense potential. Serving as your Central Region Undergraduate Chapter Coordinator has been the honor of my life and has prepared me to continue leading with a focus on effectively conducting Sigma Business, strengthening Sisterly Bonds, and amplifying our Signature Brand.
Your vote will ensure this impactful work continues. Together, we will keep building, empowering, and advancing our undergraduates and our region.
